Description

Position Overview

Drive and support the onboarding and vendor management processes by organizing, collecting and entering vendor data into Burlington systems. Field vendor and merchant inquiries and proactively collaborate with cross functional partners to provide a smooth onboarding process.

A Day in the Life

Business Acumen

  • Possesses a high level of knowledge of vendor agreements, Burlington's terms & conditions and merchandise operations.
  • Communicates clearly and effectively with vendors and conveys deep knowledge of Burlington's guidelines as part of onboarding and follow-up interactions.
  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills in managing vendor contacts, paperwork and profile information.

Relationship Management

  • Responds promptly to vendor emails and inquiries. Fully understand each specific situation by reading through email threads and "listening" to the vendors' concerns. Ensures vendors are up to date on current Burlington news and policy changes.
  • Works well with other departments to resolve issues and keep the onboarding process moving forward. Educates teams on flow of onboarding process and sends onboarding information to cross-functional teams to support their workflows.

Productivity

  • Completes assignments quickly, accurately, and according to departmental procedures.
  • Checks deliverables for accuracy before submission to avoid rework. Work product reflects attention-to-detail.
  • Displays consistency and thoroughness in work output.
  • Follows direction and is comfortable working in gray. Is open to new ideas and work processes. Adapts well to change.

Process Management

  • Prioritizes tasks with excellent time management skills and uses business acumen to anticipate the needs of the business.
  • Is flexible and easily adjusts to changes in work priorities, assignments, and company/department needs. Remains productive in any circumstance by being well-organized and making the best use of available hours.
  • Voluntarily recommends original and effective ideas/procedures for process improvements and is adept at developing and presenting new ideas.
  • Completes vendor forms/credit applications and provides resale certificates.
  • Enters vendor data into Burlington systems including portal, Traverse, and ORRS. Assists with user access and login credentials.
  • Maintains and assists vendors with contact and remittance information updates.
  • Prepares and publishes onboarding reports

You'll Come With

Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Licenses/Certification/Registration: None

Experience: 1-3 years of Vendor Management or Retail experience

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Adaptable and ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

  • Creative problem-solving skills, with ability to find solutions to challenges that arise.
  • Strong analytical skills and a comfort analyzing vendor data

Compensation Range: $15.60 - $22.00
