Reporting to: Project ManagerStart Date: ImmediateWorking Hours: Mon – Fri, 8am – 5pmProbation Period: 3 monthsJob Type: Full Time, PermanentJob Location: Site-based/ Various Sites East West Connect is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the safe, efficient and commercially successful delivery of projects from pre-construction through to completion. This is a senior role for someone with strong experience in mechanical and electrical building services, project delivery, health and safety, commercial control and team leadership.ScopeYou will manage all aspects of project delivery, including planning, programming, procurement, technical coordination, resource management and day-to-day site operations. The role includes developing tender handovers into full delivery plans, managing risk and compliance, reviewing design and methodology, leading project reporting and coordinating closely with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams. You will also support business growth by identifying opportunities, promoting EWC professionally and assisting with tender and proposal activity where required.SkillsWe are looking for someone with:Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical building services and their interface with general building worksExperience in project delivery, construction management, commercial management and contract administrationGood understanding of health and safety legislation, safe systems of work and industry best practiceAbility to review and develop technical information, drawings, specifications and procurement schedulesStrong planning, programming and organisational skillsAbility to manage risk, monitor progress and drive projects to key milestonesStrong analytical skills to assess tender, design and construction informationGood commercial awareness, including cost control, subcontractor management and profitabilityStrong IT skills across spreadsheets, reporting, programming and general project softwareExcellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skillsAbility to lead project teams and coordinate internal departments, clients and supply chain partnersDutiesKey responsibilities include:Promoting high standards of health, safety, environmental and quality management across all project stagesManaging projects from tender handover through procurement, construction and close-outPreparing and developing CRFs, procurement schedules, risk registers, progress reports and delivery documentationReviewing methodologies, technical submittals, drawings and design information to ensure safe and compliant deliveryRaising technical queries and coordinating design workshops to achieve workable project solutionsAllocating and managing labour, subcontractors, suppliers and site teams to support successful deliveryMonitoring project progress, identifying risks and implementing corrective actionsManaging subcontract and material enquiries, package reviews and pre-order meetingsPreparing and presenting financial and commercial project updates to line managementSupporting new business opportunities, tender preparation and client relationship developmentMaintaining control of project records, site information and construction documentationLeading meetings including progress meetings, health and safety meetings, subcontractor reviews, design workshops, handovers and post-contract reviewsIf you are a commercially aware and technically strong Project Manager with experience leading building services projects, we would like to hear from you.
