Position Summary:
The Assistant Director of Campus Recreation - Sports Programs manages all aspects of Intramural and Club Sports at the university.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Regular, predictable attendance on campus
- Planning, implementation, evaluation and growth of a comprehensive Intramural sports program throughout the academic year.
- Training and development of student staff, including officials, supervisors and program assistants.
- Administration and support of all Club Sports programs including competitive, recreational and performance-based groups.
- Provide vision and direction for new and innovative programs.
- Manage student payroll.
- Oversee the seasonal canoe rental program (2-3 months/year)
- Collaborate with university entities including but not limited to, Campus Involvement, Residence Life, and student organizations.
- Assist with marketing and promoting Campus Recreation events and services.
- Advise and implement measures for risk management, fiscal responsibility and leadership.
- Alignment with University mission, vision, and strategic roadmap
- Other job duties/responsibilities may be assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required. Master’s degree preferred
- At least 2-3 years of experience in Intramural and Club sport management
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Experience with sports officiating preferred
- Experience managing club sports preferred
