Job Overview
The Production Associate performs repetitive manufacturing and assembly tasks in a safe manner while in compliance with all PPE requirements. Each task is to be completed with the results exceeding customer expectations. Each task is to be accomplished with the objective to keep a balanced line flow to meet delivery schedules. Associates must be able to perform repetitive hand, wrist, and arm motions while bending, stooping, twisting, and turning while lifting 20 lbs. frequently and 40 lbs. occasionally for light production and 40 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. occasionally for heavy production. Doors and Specials requires the ability to lift 70-100 pounds occasionally and pass a physical fit test. Associates are required the ability to stand or walk on concrete up to 10 hour shifts.
Your schedule and Pay:
- Work Monday-Friday 6:30am-2:30pm
- Pay starts at $20.49/hour.
Overtime may be required during business season.
Highlights of your role
- Perform repetitive assembly tasks using hand and power tools, and automated equipment to build and produce high quality window products.
- Retrieve parts from green racks according to the pick list or motion devices and deliver to the line. Report defective parts or questionable conditions to the Supervisor.
- Perform light fabrication (drill holes, measure, cut, saw) to facilitate product sub-assembly.
- Slide, lay, snap, crank or otherwise assemble materials to produce sub-assembly or finished product.
- Notify Supervisor of any mechanical or material issues.
- Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages.
- Ability to communicate in oral or written English to carry out essential functions
- Have the ability to read and understand visual and written assembly instructions on a computer screen to retrieve parts.
- Have the ability to be cross-trained in multiple functions within and between multiple department lines.
- Have the ability to operate hand and power tools to fabricate and assemble.
- Have the ability to maintain regular and satisfactory attendance and punctuality.
Additional Responsibilities: Assist with inventory maintenance. Assist in the training/mentoring of new associates. Perform other duties as assigned.
