Head of Commercial Strategy - MECCA-Maginations | 9–12 Month Fixed-Term Contract

As our Head of Commercial Strategy, you'll play a critical role in shaping the growth trajectory of MECCA-Maginations — our in-house brand incubator and innovation engine, often known as the Living Lab of Beauty. This is where our beauty intel and know-how takes shape, evolving into products and launching into the world. From MECCA COSMETICA to MECCA MAX and KIT, this team builds brands that don't just sit pretty on shelves — they spark joy, disrupt categories, and set new standards.  

Reporting to the General Manager and working closely with our Chief MECCA-Maginations Officer, you'll bring commercial rigour and strategic clarity to our ambition to grow this portfolio . This is a 9–12 month fixed-term contract, covering a period of international expansion and some genuinely exciting confidential new brand work.

What You'll Do 

• Define and evolve the strategic direction behind our portfolio growth ambition, domestically and internationally.  

• Lead international market scoping, retailer conversations and go-to-market planning for MECCA COSMETICA and KIT across the UK and Europe.  

• Own the commercial planning cycle-  forecasting, financial modelling and long-term profitability assessments that underpin key investment decisions.  

• Lead feasibility assessments and business cases for new brands, acquisitions and partnership opportunities. 

• Partner closely with our Heads of Brand and wider Leadership Team to challenge and shape growth plans across the portfolio.  

• Translate complex analysis into clear, compelling business cases and present recommendations to senior leadership.  

• Lead and develop our Commercial Analyst, building strategic and analytical capability across the team. 

What You Will Bring 

We're looking for a sharp strategic mind who thrives on ambiguity and loves turning complexity into clear commercial direction. A strategist through and through, with a background in consultancy and/or brand-side strategy, and deep commercial acumen. Proven experience will include:  

• Building business cases, financial models and market entry strategies.  

• A track record of operating confidently at leadership level and influencing senior stakeholders.  

• A structured thinker who brings clarity to ambiguity and momentum to complex, moving pieces of work.  

• Genuine curiosity for brands, consumer trends and global market dynamics.  

• Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. 

• A background in Brand Marketing is highly regarded.
