To help us in achieving our plans we are looking for a Tennis World Manager to join our team at Tennis World Sydney Olympic Park on a permanent basis.

About the role 

 

The role is responsible for the effective and efficient management and operations of the day-to-day Tennis World business of the site. This role will oversee the Customer Service, Coaching and Programs team and ensure all aspects of operations are delivered in a friendly and effective manner. 

 

The Tennis World Manager role encompasses day to day oversight of customer service delivery, coaching delivery and enrolments, retail, merchandise and cafe fulfilment, membership and programs administration, Tournaments and overall business performance and operations. 

 

In this role you will: 

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of one of Australia's premier tennis facilities, the NSW State Tennis Centre, overseeing customer service, coaching programs, memberships, cafe, retail, tournaments and overall business performance. 
  • Drive business growth through strategic planning, financial management, customer retention initiatives and the delivery of exceptional member and participant experiences. 
  • Inspire and develop a diverse team across customer experience, coaching and operations, fostering a high-performance culture focused on service excellence and continuous improvement. 
  • Partner with Tennis NSW, Tennis World leadership and key stakeholders to deliver world-class venue operations, maintain industry-leading standards and achieve commercial objectives. 
  • Manage a thriving tennis ecosystem including coaching pathways, memberships, leagues, retail services and events, creating engaging experiences that grow participation and strengthen the Tennis World brand. 
  • Perform an event role where required during the Summer of Tennis. 

 
About you 

To be successful in this role you will have: 

  • Knowledge of Tennis Programs, formats, pathways and systems (such as UTR platform)  

  • Tertiary qualification in sports and venue management or similar(preferred) 

  • Extensive knowledge of venue operation and sport / leisure industry   

  • Built and led a multi-disciplinary program team (e.g. customer service, coaching, operations) 

  • Ability to build and maintain positive working relations with both internal and external stakeholders 

  • Hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check 

  • Preparedness to be flexible in regard to working hours and arrangements relating to work associated with Tennis Australia 

  • Understand this is an operational role which is performed 100% onsite at Tennis World Sydney Olympic Park Tennis Centre.
