HVAC Service Technician

Thompson Solutions Group is looking for an HVAC Service Technician to join our team. This position is a great opportunity for someone who is building their career in HVAC, as well as someone who already has journey-level experience.

In this role, you will help maintain preventative maintenance programs for customers, respond to service calls, and diagnose, repair, and replace HVAC equipment. This includes commercial air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration systems.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC equipment, including air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration systems.
• Install, maintain, modify, overhaul, and service HVAC equipment such as air conditioning units, air handlers, pumps, motors, valves, heating systems, and control devices.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance to help keep systems operating properly.
• Assist with system commissioning to ensure newly installed or modified systems are operating as intended.
• Respond to customer service calls and preventative maintenance needs in a timely and professional manner.
• Complete required documentation, paperwork, and service records.
• Follow company safety practices, participate in toolbox talks, complete worksite inspections, and wear appropriate PPE.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• HVAC experience preferred, but we are open to candidates who are still growing their skills.
• HVAC Journeyman's license and EPA Universal Certification are highly desired, but not required.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Basic understanding of tools and equipment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work overtime as needed and participate in an on-call rotation.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk, bend, climb, sit, and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to use hand and arm dexterity to operate tools and equipment.
• Ability to work in indoor spaces, outdoor areas, construction sites, and rough terrain.
