Description
The Nurse Manager will be responsible for:
- Providing clinical direction and leadership for effective management of nursing practices.
- Ensuring patient care is consistently being delivered and all quality standards are being met.
- Coordination, supervision, and management of clinical services, staff education, planning, development, and evaluation
- Collaborating with physicians and other hospital managers and directors in developing and / or revising policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Ensuring staff competency, education, and training.
- Managing budgets
- Serving as a resource person for staff, developing goals and objectives, and assist in the advancement of nursing practice.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
- Educational Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN, Masters preferred
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Louisiana
- Experience Requirements:
- Two years of nursing management experience preferred
- Skills/Abilities:
- Basic computer and Microsoft program knowledge
- Organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to determine appropriate course of action in more complex situations
- Ability to work independently, exercise creativity, be attentive to detail, and maintain a positive attitude
- Possess personal qualities such as kindness, empathy, understanding, respect, good judgment, integrity, loyalty, a sense of humor, and an ability to relate to people in a compassionate manner.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- BLS, ACLS certification within 3 months of start date
