Position Overview:

You will provide technical support for industrial control systems used throughout the manufacturing process, helping to ensure equipment reliability, performance, and ongoing operational effectiveness. In this role, you will develop controls standards, support the implementation and maintenance of automation systems, and collaborate with manufacturing and maintenance teams to improve production processes. You will contribute to the design, installation, programming, and optimization of manufacturing equipment while ensuring compliance with safety and quality requirements. This role offers the opportunity to have a direct impact on manufacturing efficiency, automation initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts across the operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop controls standards and define control system configurations for new manufacturing equipment and automation applications.

  • Program, modify, and maintain industrial control systems to support manufacturing operations and process improvements.

  • Oversee the installation and implementation of control systems on new and existing manufacturing equipment.

  • Analyze manufacturing processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance through automation.

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including operating procedures, maintenance documentation, and controls-related records.

  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to support the design and development of tooling and equipment used in production processes.

  • Troubleshoot industrial control systems, equipment, networks, and related automation technologies to resolve operational issues.

  • Train production and maintenance personnel on control system operation, maintenance procedures, and programming functions.

  • Maintain compliance with company policies, quality requirements, safety standards, and OSHA regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

  • Minimum 3 years of directly related experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs, including ControlLogix, CompactLogix, and MicroLogix platforms.

  • Experience with Allen Bradley PanelView Plus HMIs and Allen Bradley VFDs.

  • Experience with Ignition SCADA software and SQL databases.

  • Experience troubleshooting and commissioning fieldbus networks, including Ethernet/IP and DeviceNet.

  • Experience creating and modifying electrical schematics using AutoCAD.

  • Knowledge of industrial equipment design, troubleshooting, and electrical panel construction.

  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
