Management Level:
P2Tyson Foods offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic accounting team where your attention to detail and analytical skills can truly make an impact. In this role, you will become the go-to resource for key financial reporting and related activities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position provides broad exposure to manufacturing accounting, opportunities for cross-training, and close collaboration with Accounting leadership. Your work will directly support operational insight, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
- Serve as a primary resource for specific financial reporting and related accounting tasks
- Compile financial and statistical data while consistently meeting reporting deadlines
- Learn and support multiple aspects of manufacturing accounting, including basic elements of product costing
- Gather production and financial information to prepare weekly scorecards and performance summaries
- Assist with daily production posting and line efficiency analysis
- Provide support during physical inventory processes
- Assist with self-audit procedures and internal controls
- Collaborate with the Accounting Manager, Controller, and cross-functional partners
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Controller
- Assist plant supervision with daily and weekly time and attendance activities using UKG Pro and SAP Payroll.
- Monitor plant time analytics in UKG Pro, ensuring adherence to corporate policies.
- Provide training to new supervisors on payroll processes as necessary. Address Team Members' payroll questions and concerns promptly and effectively.
- Perform reconciliation tasks as needed.
- Enter and complete purchase requisitions for items like PPE.
This role involves highly varied work requiring interpretation of data from multiple sources and a strong eye for detail. You will regularly exercise judgment in setting priorities, evaluating results, maintaining confidentiality, and coordinating with diverse teams. The environment is fast-paced and deadline-driven, making it ideal for someone who enjoys multitasking, problem-solving, and contributing to operational excellence. Work hours will be determined by workload demands across different points in the accounting period.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 5+ years experience required..
- Computer Skills: Requires intermediate computer skills including the full Microsoft Office suite; Advanced Excel skills are preferred; SAP and UKG Preferred.
- Communication Skills: Requires written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of management. Work activities are variable and require judgment to complete tasks such as setting priorities, evaluating results, and coordinating with others. Assignments are defined and the approach to be taken is usually determined in coordination with others.
