The Opportunity
Executrade is seeking a Recruitment Research Associate to join our Edmonton team and play a key role in supporting our recruitment consultants through research, candidate identification, market intelligence, and sourcing initiatives.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys research, problem-solving, networking, and uncovering talent. You will gain hands-on exposure to the recruitment industry while developing expertise in candidate sourcing strategies, labour market trends, recruitment technology, and the full recruitment lifecycle.
Working closely with Recruitment Consultants, you will help identify top talent, build candidate pipelines, support recruitment campaigns, and provide valuable market insights that contribute to successful hiring outcomes for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
Candidate Research & Talent Sourcing
- Conduct targeted research to identify qualified candidates across a variety of professional disciplines and industries.
- Develop candidate lists and talent pipelines through LinkedIn, online databases, social platforms, and other sourcing tools.
- Utilize Boolean search techniques and creative sourcing strategies to uncover passive candidates.
- Conduct initial candidate outreach and engagement to assess interest, availability, and alignment with opportunities.
Market Intelligence & Recruitment Support
- Research industries, organizations, competitors, and talent markets to support recruitment strategies.
- Provide insights on candidate availability, market trends, compensation expectations, and hiring challenges.
- Assist Recruitment Consultants with search planning, candidate mapping, and market analysis.
Candidate Management & Recruitment Administration
- Review resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates.
- Maintain accurate candidate records within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)/CRM.
- Prepare candidate profiles, summaries, and recruitment documentation.
- Support interview coordination and recruitment process activities as required.
Collaboration & Process Improvement
- Work closely with Recruitment Consultants to understand client requirements and search priorities.
- Share sourcing insights, recruitment trends, and recommendations to improve search effectiveness.
- Contribute ideas to enhance recruitment processes, candidate experience, and team efficiency.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will bring a combination of curiosity, research ability, strong communication skills, and a passion for connecting people with opportunities.
Education & Experience
- Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- 1–3 years of experience in recruitment, talent sourcing, research, sales, customer service, business development, or a related field is an asset.
- Experience conducting research, working with databases, or identifying qualified individuals is highly valued.
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience using LinkedIn, online research tools, AI platforms, and professional networking resources.
- Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), CRM platforms, and Boolean search techniques is an asset.
- Comfortable learning and leveraging new recruitment technology and tools.
