Senior Structural Engineer Location: Valencia, Spain Contract: Full-time (36–40 hours) Experience: Minimum 5 years Language: English (professional working level) Our client is an independent engineering consultancy specialising in prefabricated concrete and hybrid structures for technically complex projects across Europe and beyond. They are looking for a Structural Engineer to join their Valencia office. As a Structural Engineer, you will work at the core of the project team, contributing to structural design decisions from early concept through to execution. Your work goes beyond calculations: you ensure structures are technically sound, manufacturable, and buildable. Your responsibilities
• Designing and calculating main and detailed structures
• Working with advanced CAE software such as Scia Engineer, Idea Statica, and Technosoft
• Substantiating and defending structural choices to internal and external parties
• Collaborate within multidisciplinary project teams
• Coordinate with architects, prefabrication factories, and other supply chain partners
• Ensure structural quality from design to implementation
• Quality and Development
• Work in accordance with applicable standards, guidelines, and quality procedures
• Actively contribute to knowledge sharing and professional development
• Contribute to automation, parametric design, and process improvement Your profile
• Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience • In-depth structural understanding of concrete, steel, and prefabricated structures
• Ability to translate complex forces into feasible details
• Insight into industrial feasibility, tolerances, and assembly
• Experience with 3D modeling and CAE software in a project environment
• Ability to reduce complex issues to clear choices
• Constructive decision-making skills with incomplete or changing information
• Effective collaboration with project managers, modelers, and other disciplines
• Strong quality awareness and attention to detail
• Affinity with prefabrication logic and industrial construction processes
• Interest in automation and parametric thinking
• Comfortable working in self-organizing project teams
• Thinking from a perspective of supply chain responsibility and customer satisfaction
