Engineer I
We are seeking an Engineer I who is responsible for maintaining and repairing the hotel's physical structure, guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house spaces, and mechanical equipment to ensure guest safety, comfort, and operational efficiency.
This position responds to routine and emergency work orders, performs scheduled preventive maintenance, and troubleshoots plumbing, electrical, HVAC, mechanical, and general building systems. The Engineer I works closely with hotel departments to ensure maintenance concerns are addressed promptly while maintaining the hotel's safety, appearance, and service standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair issues in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
- Complete routine repairs including plumbing issues, lighting, electrical fixtures, and other room-related concerns.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance throughout the hotel.
- Inspect and service HVAC units, ice machines, laundry equipment, kitchen equipment, plumbing fixtures
- Perform general plumbing repairs, including faucets, toilets, drains, fixtures, and minor piping repairs.
- Perform minor electrical repairs involving lighting, switches, outlets, fixtures, and other basic electrical components
- Troubleshoot basic HVAC and mechanical equipment issues.
- Perform basic carpentry, painting, drywall patching, caulking, furniture touch-ups, and other cosmetic repairs.
- Assist with monitoring and inspecting fire alarms, emergency generators, and other life-safety equipment
- Respond appropriately to emergency maintenance situations, including water leaks, power interruptions, equipment failures, and other urgent property needs.
- Maintain appropriate preventive maintenance and repair records.
