Overview
The Winnipeg Fleet Team Supervisor contributes to the success of PepsiCo by overseeing the regular and preventative maintenance of all fleet equipment utilized to fulfill customer needs. This person supervises skilled employees in a unionized environment.

Responsibilities
- Creates a safe working environment for team and fosters a culture of safety and accountability.
- Conduct regular safety audits, toolbox talks, and quality inspections.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 7+ technicians, including scheduling, performance evaluations, training, and professional development.
- Oversee all preventive maintenance, repairs, diagnostics, and major overhauls for light and heavy commercial vehicles, diesel & gasoline engines, hydraulic systems, and material handling equipment in the Winnipeg facilities.
- Review and approve work orders daily and analyze to achieve productivity savings.
- Monitor key performance metrics (e.g., MTTR, MTBF, OR Reports, Cost per mile (PEP+), PM compliance) and drive data-informed improvements.
- Manage parts inventory, vendor relationships, and repair budgets to control costs effectively.
- Coordinate with Food & Beverage Operations teams to prioritize repairs and support fleet availability.
- Utilize fleet management software (WCMS/EAM and Holman) to track work orders, history, and compliance documentation.
- Ensures equipment and individual compliance with all Ministry of Transportation (MOT) and Environmental, Health and Safety regulations including all annual renewals, registrations and certifications for fleet assets.
- Achieves or exceeds target results related to cost, asset preservation, breakdown, preventative maintenance, and asset availability
- Monitors financial and individual targets aligned with Annual Operating Plan objectives and fleet standards.
- Supervises frontline Fleet performance standards to support Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), regulatory compliance, safety and Fleet standards
- Communicates effectively with internal and external business partners in support of overall PepsiCo goals
Qualifications
- A minimum 2 years fleet maintenance experience is seen as an asset
- A minimum of 2 years supervisory experience
- Commitment to safety as the top priority
- Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills with a coaching mindset
- Proficient in MS365, including Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook, Teams, Co-Pilot
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities under pressure
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of organization and attention to detail
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or emergencies
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience in consumer-packaged products, or similar industry
- Experience with MOT and/or provincial transportation association
- Experience with apprenticeship board
