Job Description Summary
The Power Segment Strategy team is seeking a highly motivated Strategy Specialist 2 to support long-term strategy, growth priorities, and transformation initiatives for GE Vernova’s global Power segment. This role offers a unique opportunity for an early-career professional to work on high-impact strategic questions, develop structured analytical and communication skills, and gain exposure to senior business leaders across a global industrial business.The Specialist will support market and competitive analysis, strategic planning, growth initiatives, and leadership communications, while helping the team translate strategy into actionable plans. Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Strategy Development & Analysis
- Support the Power segment’s long-term strategy and priority initiatives through market research, competitive analysis, and structured problem solving.
- Gather and analyze data to assess market trends, growth opportunities, portfolio choices, and strategic tradeoffs.
- Build foundational financial analyses, business cases, and scenario models with guidance from senior team members.
- Synthesize findings into clear presentations, memos, and recommendations for leadership discussions.
Growth, Partnerships, and Innovation
- Support evaluation of growth opportunities, including adjacent markets, partnerships, innovation initiatives, and selected business development activities.
- Conduct market, technology, and innovation scans across energy, climate tech, AI, digital, and related ecosystems.
- Monitor emerging trends, startups, and external developments, and translate findings into actionable business insights.
Transformation & Strategic Initiatives
- Support transformation and strategic initiatives by helping translate priorities into actionable plans, roadmaps, and progress tracking.
- Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to support alignment, follow-through, and execution against key initiatives.
- Contribute to initiative updates and supporting materials for working sessions and leadership reviews.
Strategy Planning Enablement
- Support the team’s strategic planning cadence by coordinating leadership reviews, consolidating inputs, and maintaining core strategy materials.
- Track milestones, decisions, dependencies, and follow-up actions across planning cycles and major initiatives.
- Help prepare clear, decision-ready materials that reflect stakeholder input and support effective reviews.

Basic Qualifications
- 0-3 years of relevant experience through full-time roles, internships, co-ops, or analyst programs in strategy, consulting, engineering, product, commercial, finance, market analysis, or related fields
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, economics, or related field.
- Strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to synthesize complex information into recommendations.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Fluency in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with energy and adjacent sectors including climate tech ecosystems.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively across teams.
- Proven ability to work independently and contribute to cross-functional workstreams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with executive presence and the ability to create clear, compelling materials for senior leadership.
- Understands the nuances and complex interrelationships within a specified system.
- Quick learner and able to capture and apply new knowledge from other disciplines formally & informally.
- Demonstrated curiosity about emerging digital and AI tools, with interest in applying them to research, analysis, and productivity. Familiarity with AI-enabled workflows is a plus.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $73,600.00 and $110,400.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
