Supervisor
Location: Gillingham
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £44,397.50 per annum, 42.5 hours per week, company van and fuel card.
Out of hours rota 1 in 3 weeks on an escalation basis and included within salary.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a team, managing resources effectively and ensuring all works are completed safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. You will play a key role in supporting operational performance while maintaining compliance and developing your team.
About the Role:
- As a Supervisor, you will oversee day-to-day contract operations and support the delivery of high-quality services across the contract.
- Oversee contract operations to maximise productivity, profitability and customer satisfaction
- Supervise and monitor work delivery through regular site visits
- Ensure works are completed safely, on time, within budget and to required quality standards
- Produce and maintain operational performance reports and updates
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, company policies and procedures
- Promote a customer-focused approach and maintain professional stakeholder communication
- Manage, coach and develop team members
- Identify training requirements and support employee development
- Monitor and maintain company assets including vehicles, tools, stock, PPE and materials
- Control operational resources and utilisation to support efficient service delivery
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and company procedures
- Provide supervisory cover during absences
- Attend client meetings, company meetings and training sessions as required
Key Criteria:
- Full UK manual driving licence
- City & Guilds qualification or equivalent in a relevant trade discipline
- Previous supervisory experience within a similar operation
- Experience managing, monitoring, recording and reporting health and safety and compliance
- Strong health and safety knowledge including COSHH
- Excellent leadership, people management and communication skills
- Customer-focused approach with strong problem-solving and decision-making ability
- Excellent planning, organisation, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Strong IT skills and knowledge of Schedule of Rates (SOR)
Desirable:
- SMSTS qualification
- Asbestos Awareness
- First Aid at Work Certificate
- Fire Marshall Certificate
- Scaffolding Inspection Certificate
- Experience working within social housing and local authority contracts
