The Sr. Servicing Transfer BSA is responsible for leading and supporting complex loan boarding and transfer activities, ensuring the accurate onboarding and offboarding of mortgage loans within the servicing platform. This role serves as a key liaison between internal departments, prior servicers, and business stakeholders to ensure seamless data conversion, validation, and system integration.
The ideal candidate combines deep mortgage servicing knowledge with strong analytical and technical capabilities to support large-scale loan transfers, resolve data discrepancies, improve processes, and ensure compliance with investor and regulatory requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Lead the execution of electronic and manual loan boarding and offboarding processes within the servicing system (Sagent LoanServ).
- Perform advanced quality control reviews and data integrity validations to ensure accurate loan setup and transfer execution.
- Review, research, and resolve complex data exceptions, mapping errors, and transfer discrepancies.
- Coordinate with prior servicers and internal business partners to facilitate seamless data conversion and onboarding activities.
- Develop and maintain scripts, tables, and data validation tools to support accurate and efficient loan transfers.
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, risks, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Create and implement data validation rules to ensure compliance with investor, agency, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor, investigate, and resolve issues identified through error logs, conversion reports, and reconciliation processes.
- Participate in transfer-related meetings and conference calls with prior servicers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to align timelines, deliverables, and expectations.
- Communicate effectively regarding data, payment, boarding, and system-related issues with both internal teams and external partners.
- Provide regular status updates and reporting to leadership on transfer progress, key risks, issue resolution, and performance metrics.
- Recommend and implement enhancements to transfer processes, controls, tools, and documentation standards.
- Support automation initiatives and contribute to the development of scalable, repeatable solutions for future portfolio transfers.
- Maintain detailed documentation related to transfer procedures, data mappings, validation rules, and exception management protocols.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of mortgage servicing experience with a focus on loan boarding, portfolio transfers, servicing operations, data conversions, or business systems analysis.
- Strong knowledge of mortgage servicing platforms and servicing processes.
- Experience working with large-scale loan transfers, data mapping, reconciliation, and conversion activities.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, validation, and reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to identify trends, root causes, and process improvement opportunities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with MSP servicing platform.
- Experience with Sagent LoanServ.
- Knowledge of MERS and chain of assignment processes.
- Proficiency with SQL and data analysis techniques.
- Experience with scripting languages and automation tools such as SQL, Python, or Excel macros.
- Experience with Monarch or similar data management platforms.
- Understanding of investor, agency, regulatory, and compliance requirements related to mortgage servicing and loan transfers.
