General Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled professional to join our team as product marketing manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, managing, and executing product marketing plans that communicate Qualcomm’s unique AI strengths while showcasing ecosystem leadership. They will be responsible for driving system-level narratives covering Qualcomm products across Snapdragon, Dragonwing, and Dragonfly along with AI developer offerings such as Qualcomm AI Hub, Qualcomm AI Stack and Modular. These activities include, but are not limited to 360 marketing plans, technical presentations, blogs, product videos, and competitive benchmarking while interacting with partners, developers, potential customers/OEMs, and outside agencies. Prior experience with product marketing, AI technologies, hardware architecture, developer tools, and developer marketing is required.

Many of the product marketing results will be showcased at leading trade shows and events, where this person will represent some of the technologies and products demonstrated and be a Qualcomm spokesperson.

This role requires a collaborative approach, working closely with engineering, business development, product management, PR, digital, brand, legal and third-party partners to ensure seamless planning and execution.

The individual will be expected to lead cross functionally and work with product management to spearhead marketing plans and create core messaging, content, and webpage copy, launch new products and models, and lead promotional activates post-launch.

The individual will also be expected to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences and deal with an ever-changing calendar and mix of technologies and products. This person must be flexible, able to multitask, act independently, and be proactive.

Job Responsibilities:

• Drive AI technology and product marketing including hardware, developer tools, and partner solutions

• Facilitate collaboration and project execution across engineering, product management, wider marketing and comms, business development, and external stakeholders including developers and partners.
• Develop innovative ideas and concepts to showcase Qualcomm’s products and innovations in engaging and experiential ways.
• Lead and drive potential customer/partner engagements
• Train other employees to conduct demos and deliver presentations effectively, while providing them with positioning and messaging support.
• Serve as the public spokesperson, demo staff at trade shows and events.
• Collaborate with PR, digital, AR, compliance, legal, brand, and other internal teams to ensure all events adhere to their guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of Product Marketing, Marketing, Business, Engineering, Communications, or related work experience.

OR

Associate's degree or equivalent degree and 5+ years of Product Marketing, Marketing, Business, Engineering, Communications, or related work experience.

OR

High school Diploma or equivalent and 7+ years of Product Marketing, Marketing, Business, Engineering, Communications, or related work experience.

*Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

•5+ years of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related work experience.

• Work experience: 2+ years in engineering, product management, or marketing within the high-tech industry.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or equivalent experience.
• Excellent program management, planning, and organizational skills.

• Experience with cutting edge AI and gen AI systems and applications

• Deep understanding on AI developer tools, frameworks, and workflows

• Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to work in a dynamic team environment.
• Effective relationship-building and influencing skills.
• Ability to work and lead in a highly collaborative team environment and build alignment/consensus across technical and non-technical teams.
• Self-starter, resourceful, and able to effectively operate in a complex, fast-paced environment.

This is an office-based position located in San Diego, CA and is expected to comply with the company's onsite work policy.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:

$129,700.00 - $194,500.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
