Description
The Spa Aide – Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides assistance with spa and personal care services for residents of Heritage of Webster County. This position supports the overall wellness, relaxation, and dignity of residents by helping with grooming, bathing, and therapeutic treatments under the supervision of nursing staff. The Spa Aide ensures that all services are delivered safely, respectfully, and in accordance with facility policies and state regulations.
- This position complies with department and organization-wide policies, long-term care facility requirements, safety, and infection control, and all Federal and State of Nebraska regulations related to the performance of Heritage of Webster County operations and requirements of the compliance program.
Requirements
- Assists residents with scheduled spa services such as shampoos, hair rinses, nail care, hand/foot soaks, and skin moisturization.
- Prepares and maintains the spa area, ensuring it is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Escorts residents to and from the spa safely and respectfully.
- Follows infection control and safety protocols at all times.
- Assists with laundry and sanitation of towels, robes, and spa linens.
- Provides companionship and promote relaxation during spa treatments.
- Supports nursing or activity staff during special wellness events (e.g., spa days, aromatherapy sessions).
- Reports any changes in residents’ condition or skin integrity to nursing staff promptly.
- Documents services provided according to facility policy.
- Upholds residents’ privacy, dignity, and confidentiality at all times.
- Supports on-floor CNAs and nursing staff with resident care duties when directed by a supervisor or manager.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous nurse aide or long-term care experience preferred
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION
- Completion of state certification course for nursing assistants (CNA)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
