The Operational Excellence Discipline Lead will be the subject matter expert on one or more F135 MRO&U (Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul, & Upgrade) technical processes (e.g., assembly, balance, borescope, test). The Discipline Lead will develop and maintain the process PFMEA and other standard work, as applicable. The Discipline Lead will engage with depots across the Global Depot Network (active shops include Heavy Maintenance Center in OKC, WPB, Norway, Netherlands, and Australia; upcoming shops include Japan, Jacksonville, and Finland) to baseline F135 MRO&U readiness and to develop and assist in executing improvement projects to drive depot maturity, resulting in improved quality, delivery, and financial metrics (e.g., escapes, turnaround time, overhaul hours). This role will report to the Assistant Director, OpX Discipline Manager, is onsite at the West Palm Beach F135 Depot in Florida.
What You Will Do:
- Develop and maintain process PFMEA(s) for discipline.
- Develop secondary proficiencies in other processes/disciplines.
- Partner with OpX Site Leads and depot sites to mature discipline across network.
- Identify, manage, and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Execute projects within SME discipline
Qualifications You Must Have:
- B.S. in Engineering required.
- 8+ years of Operations, Engineering, Program Management, or related functions required; or 5+ years with an advanced degree in Operations, Engineering, Program Management, or related functions required.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Advanced or expert knowledge of one or more processes used in F135 engine assembly and/or test in a production or overhaul environment (e.g., assembly, balance, borescope)
- Familiarity with engine overhaul (military or commercial) F135, F117 & F119
- Familiarity with maturing manufacturing readiness through Manufacturing Readiness Levels (MRL).
- Experience creating and using PFMEAs in production environment.
- Experience engaging with shop floor operations (e.g., supervisors, mechanics)and experience working with global operations.
- Certified as CORE Apprentice.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
