Title:
AutoCAD Lead DesignerKBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) provides holistic and value-added solutions across the entire asset life cycle. These include world-class licensed process technologies, differentiated advisory services, deep technical domain expertise, energy transition solutions, high-end design capabilities, and smart solutions to optimize planned and operating assets.
An Instrumentation Designer will be responsible for developing detailed engineering designs, drawings, and documentation for instrumentation and control systems in projects. The role supports engineering teams by ensuring accurate design, compliance with standards, and integration with process and control requirements.
Responsibilities:
Cable routing and tray layouts
Instrument location layouts
Cable Tray supports modelling
Support 3D modelling activities using tools like SP3D, PDMS, or E3D
Ensure proper documentation and revision control of all design outputs
Assist in material take-offs (MTO) and preparation of bill of materials
Must have proven experience in Reading P & ID and prepare Instrument Index.
SPI INTOOLS Index / Specifications / Hook up / Wring module
Preparation of Loop diagram, Termination Drawings, Panel GA drawings, Layout drawings, Location plan, Cable routing, Installation drawings, Junction box schedule, Hook up Diagram, Cable schedule.
Preparation of Material take off for instrument installation, cable, Cable tray and accessories
AutoCAD and Micro Station
Qualifications including Required Education, Experience, & Skills:
Education requirement must match PROFILE CODE
10-18 Years of required experience
Must be able to understand Instrumentation design concepts.
Professional level of proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications specifically: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, and Word
Preferred Qualifications Education, Experience, & Skills:
Experience in EPC projects or detailed engineering
Experience in SP3D, PDMS or E3D
Proficient in AutoCAD
