Using advanced analytics techniques your key objective will be to generate useful member insights to guide and shape the products, services and way we deliver value to our members. Reporting to the Claims Analyst Manager you’ll be joining a close-knit team supporting our high performing Claims team at RAC Insurance.
You will be accountable for extracting, transforming and analysing data to provide insights on the Claims portfolio, across all our Insurance product lines and assist in ensuring financial objectives are met.
This position is a permanent, full-time opportunity based in our West Perth office.
What’s the role?
Communicating insights through data visualisation and storytelling, to enable stakeholder decision-making
Ensure integrity and accuracy of Claims data tables with the ability to identify and troubleshoot data issues
Assisting with monthly reporting and budgeting for Claims
Analyse and report on business performance and trends, sourcing relevant data including but not limited to operational, financial, member experience and external data sources
Contribute expertise and advice in the planning and delivery of projects aligned to the strategy
Extract, transform and validate data using platforms and tools such as Databricks
What are we looking for in you?
Tertiary qualifications in Data science, Statistics, Commerce, Finance or any other related field
Experience in a similar data/portfolio/financial analyst role
Strong communication skills and capacity to engage with and present to stakeholders across the business
A passion for insights and numbers with strong commercial acumen
Ability to be creative in problem solving and to think laterally
An eye for detail in analysing processes, performance metrics, and regulatory obligations to support claims services operational reporting
Data visualisation tool experience (e.g. Power BI) is desirable
Demonstrated experience with Databricks, Python and SQL is desirable
Data modelling and other data science techniques is an advantage
Experience analysing data with large language models is an advantage
