Sr. Associate, (SharePoint) R&D Operations Supplier Management & Performance Analytics (SMPA), supports the effective management and oversight of external suppliers delivering services across Amgen Research and Development.
This role is responsible for the tactical execution of SMPA processes, supplier performance activities, transactional support, data and document management, and cross-functional coordination. The Sr. Associate works closely with R&D functional teams, supplier governance partners, Supplier Functional Management Teams, and external suppliers to promote timely execution, accurate reporting, process compliance, and effective issue escalation.
The role also provides project and process management support for supplier-related initiatives and maintains the systems, databases, documentation, and meeting infrastructure required to support the SMPA operating model.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the design, maintenance, and continuous improvement of SharePoint sites, including site structure, libraries, permissions, content, and user guidance.
- Lead supplier-site refreshes and migrations, including standardizing information architecture, coordinating content cleanup and restricted access, and supporting user adoption.
- Partner with function leads and cross-functional stakeholders to improve SharePoint usability, accessibility, and regulatory-readiness resources.
- Provide operational support for supplier interactions, including automated email triage, supplier inquiries, meeting agendas, notes, and related communications.
- Own the development, enhancement, maintenance, and reliability of business applications, databases, and embedded GitLab tools.
- Lead digital workflow modernization, including the transition from Smartsheet to Microsoft-based applications and survey tools.
- Manage operational data collection, validation, cleanup, maintenance, and reporting for planning, supplier metrics, PO/invoice data, and MSL reporting.
- Partner with stakeholders to streamline workflows, resolve technical issues, and deliver scalable digital solutions.

Basic Qualifications
Master's degree; or Bachelor's degree and 5 to 8 years of relevant R&D experience
In addition:
Demonstrated project or process management experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders
Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
Foundational knowledge of supplier management, procurement, contracting, or R&D operations
Required Qualifications:
At least two years of experience in biopharmaceutical research and development
Experience supporting supplier performance management, supplier governance, procurement, contracting, or outsourced services
Experience monitoring key performance indicators, service-level measures, and supplier deliverables
Familiarity with purchase orders, scopes of work, RFX processes, and supplier documentation
Knowledge of Amgen systems and processes relevant to supplier management and performance analytics
Experience with SharePoint, electronic document management systems, reporting tools, or workflow platforms
Experience working in a global, matrixed, and cross-functional environment
