Job Duties
- Provides clinical software leadership, in area(s) of specialization, on medium to large size projects as required
- Maintains understanding of user, project leader, and management direction and meets regularly to review project priorites and scope
- Functions as a coach and mentor to Technology Pharmacists to achieve workflow standardization and design across the organization
- Stays abreast of technological advancements. Researches and recommends new tools and alternatives to improve access and efficiency within the organization.
- Coordinates and leads others in process of unit, functional, and integration testing.
- Leads discussion in team and departmental committees providing data and system governance.
- Develops, leads/coordinates conventions, standards, and procedures to improve departmental function.
- Develops and implements strategies and methodologies to meet the future information needs of LVHN.
- Follows current project management methodology and assures all team members to do the same.
Minimum Qualifications
- Doctorate Pharmacy
- 7 years Clinical applications or direct Epic Build, implementation and support
- 5 years Hospital pharmacists in a large hospital/IDN or
- Completion of a PGY2 Pharmacy Informatics Residency
- Exhibits highly developed self-management skills and ability to deal with multiple and changing priorities.
- Analytical skills to assess clinical/business problems and develop feasible solutions.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Team leadership.
- RP - Registered Pharmacist - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
- EPIC Willow Certification - Epic Systems Within 120 Days
Physical Demands
Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
