Job Description
The Buying Ecommerce Coordinator supports the Buying team by ensuring products are accurately, effectively, and timely represented across the company’s e-commerce channels. This role serves as a key connection between Buying, Ecommerce, Marketing, and other cross-functional partners to help bring the product assortment to life online and ensure data integrity.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the setup and maintenance of product information, including product names, descriptions, attributes, categories, pricing, images, silhouettes and other digital content
- Analyze and identify opportunities for improving item descriptions based on competitor analysis
- Ensure new products are accurately and efficiently launched online
- Partner with Ecommerce and Marketing teams to ensure important products and initiatives receive appropriate online exposure
- Review the website regularly to identify missing products, incorrect information, pricing discrepancies, image issues, or other opportunities for improvement
- Assist with product categorization, navigation, filtering, and search attributes to improve the customer shopping experience
- Coordinate product images and digital assets with vendors and internal teams
- Communicate product issues and opportunities to Buyers and appropriate cross-functional partners
- Support special projects and additional Buying or Ecommerce initiatives as needed
Skills and Knowledge
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced retail environment, Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments, Basic understanding of retail concepts including product assortment, pricing, inventory, and promotions, Comfortable working with product data, spreadsheets, and digital systems, Excellent organizational, project management, and time management skills, Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office, Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, Strong interest in retail products, merchandising, consumer trends, and digital commerce, Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify and resolve issues proactively, Understanding of e-commerce merchandising and the online customer experience preferredQualifications
- 0-1 year of experience in merchandising, marketing, Ecommerce, or related field
- Bachelors degree in a related field required
- Experience working with Excel, product databases, content management systems, or e-commerce platforms is preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse, and other standard office equipment
- Able to clearly view and read information on a computer screen
- Occasionally lift or move items up to 15 pounds
