We are seeking a CNC and Laser Cutting Operator with 2 years’ experience to work in the metalworking industry, operating CNC machining, laser cutting, and welding processes. The role focuses on safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing of mechanical components and assemblies.
The professional will work directly on the shop floor, supporting production, continuous improvement, and compliance with industrial safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate CNC machines (machining centers, CNC lathes, or similar) in a metalworking environment
- Operate laser cutting equipment for metal components
- Perform basic machine setup, tooling adjustments, and parameter tuning
- Execute machining operations according to mechanical drawings and process sheets
- Perform MIG/MAG welding and shielded metal arc welding (stick welding)
- Interpret technical drawings, tolerances, and manufacturing instructions
- Conduct basic dimensional and visual inspections
- Ensure strict compliance with industrial safety regulations and shop-floor procedures
- Support basic equipment maintenance and workplace organization (5S)
- Record production and process data
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
- Technical degree from SENAI or equivalent (Machining, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related fields)
- Proven experience operating CNC machines in the metalworking industry
- Experience with machining and laser cutting processes
- Proven experience in MIG/MAG and stick welding
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and tolerances
- Knowledge of industrial safety standards and procedures
- Strong attention to detail, discipline, and teamwork skills
Nice to Have:
- Experience with CNC setup and tooling selection
- Basic knowledge of CNC programming
- Experience in heavy or precision metalworking environments
- Familiarity with measurement instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
- Currently pursuing an Engineering degree (Mechanical or Automation)
