Drilling Data Manager Engineer (Halvue & Landmark Drilling Applications)

We are seeking an experienced Drilling Data Manager Engineer with expertise in Halvue and Landmark drilling applications for a short-term assignment (1-2 months). The ideal candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to manage, validate, integrate, and maintain drilling data using advanced tools and methodologies. This role combines technical expertise in drilling engineering with strong data management capabilities to ensure the delivery of high-quality, accurate drilling data that supports engineering and operational excellence.

 

  • Candidate must be a Libyan national residing in Libya.

  • Duration :  1-2 months

 

Responsibilities

  • Drilling Data Management: Support the customer in the management, validation, and QA/QC of drilling data across the Halvue platform and Landmark applications.
  • Integration & Migration: Facilitate seamless integration and migration of drilling data between multiple systems while ensuring its accuracy and consistency.
  • Real-Time Data Implementation: Monitor and manage real-time data exchanges between rig-site systems and central databases according to industry standards.
  • Governance & Security: Uphold data security, confidentiality, and access control measures while adhering to governance requirements for drilling data management.
  • Tool Expertise: Utilize tools such as OpenWells, Compass, and WellPlan to support engineering and operations teams.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Generate detailed documentation and reporting to ensure traceability and enhance data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside multidisciplinary teams, providing expertise, insights, and guidance on drilling data usage.
  • Knowledge Transfer: Share knowledge and best practices with teams to strengthen organizational capabilities in drilling data management.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Petroleum Engineering, Drilling Engineering, or related technical discipline.
  • 10+ years of professional experience in drilling data management or drilling engineering.
  • Proven expertise in using the Halvue platform for drilling data capture, storage, and reporting.
  • In-depth experience with Landmark applications, including OpenWells, Compass, and WellPlan.
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Data loading, validation, and quality control.
    • Data migration and multi-system integration.
    • Real-time drilling data standards and rig-site system integration.

Day-to-Day

  • Morning: Conduct daily QA/QC of drilling data and provide validation updates to engineering and operational staff.
  • Afternoon: Collaborate with the team to manage real-time drilling data exchanges and troubleshoot any integration issues.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Attend scheduled team meetings to discuss data management strategies, challenges, and solutions.
  • End-of-Day: Prepare and deliver comprehensive data reports/documentation, ensuring data integrity and traceability are upheld.
  • Ongoing: Provide support in knowledge transfer, training, and resolving ad-hoc technical queries related to drilling data platforms.
