Job Description: Resource Center Coordinator

Summary of Job:

This role’s purpose is to provide information about the organization’s programs and services and guide and navigate customers with relevant processes and procedures. This role is the first point of contact with the community and is vital for building and sustaining relationships with the community that we serve. The Coordinator role will provide animal welfare education as well as promote available resources and services to the community.

Success Criteria & Essential Functions:

• Responsible for connecting with the community, the position will regularly represent the organization and build and cultivate strong relationships with customers.
• Highly organized, the success of this position depends on driving efficiency, and ensuring that customers get accurate information, and their needs met, in a timely manner.
• Flexibility and agility are essential skills as the job environment is fast paced. The role is multi-functioning and to be successful, the job incumbent must be knowledgeable in all areas of the business and able to change gears and priorities quickly.
• The ability to remain calm in emotional and high stress situations will be key, and successful outcomes will depend on demonstrating outstanding oral communication, empathy and presenting complex information in a concise and understandable manner.
• Detail-oriented, with effective written communication skills, the role will problem solve and provide solutions when responding to customer calls, emails, and texts.
• Computer literate with excellent typing skills, this role will accurately input and manage data in several database systems.
• Team oriented, this individual will coordinate and connect with co-workers, management, and volunteers daily, and ensure consistent and timely communication of notifications and customer related information.
• May assist with projects associated within a specified program or service.
• Other related duties as required.

Requirements

Education and/or Experience:

• High School diploma or G.E.D required.
• At least one years’ work experience working in any one of the following areas: Customer Service, Sales Industry, Animal clinic or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred.

Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge:

• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and substance screening.
• Should not be allergic to animals or nut products; must be able to work around all animals.
• General understanding of companion animal welfare principles
• General understanding of systemic economic and social issues that affect underserved populations and commitment to serve the community.
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft computer skills
• Must be available to work Monday through Saturday.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds; push and pull heavy objects; bend, twist, reach; perform physical activities including frequent walking, standing, sitting. bending and stooping
• Must be able to work with industrial strength cleaners and disinfectants.

Pay Range: $15.50-$17.50 per hour
