Auto Body Estimator – Customer Service & Collision Repair

Bailey's is looking for an Auto Body Estimator to join our growing team in the Fargo/Moorhead area.

You'll work directly with customers to understand their vehicle concerns, create repair plans, coordinate with insurance companies, and help guide customers through the collision repair process from start to finish.

What You'll Do

As an Auto Body Estimator, you'll serve as an important connection between our customers, technicians, production team, and insurance partners.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Greet customers and provide a professional, welcoming experience
• Listen to customers' vehicle concerns and understand their repair needs
• Create repair plans and estimates
• Estimate collision and other automotive repair work using a tablet or computer
• Document vehicle damage with detailed photographs
• Research OEM repair procedures
• Review and diagnose vehicle codes as needed
• Schedule vehicle repairs
• Explain repair procedures and repair plans clearly to customers and team members
• Identify opportunities for additional services when appropriate
• Communicate with insurance companies regarding repairs and claims
• Assist with receiving customer payments
• Complete data entry and maintain accurate records
• File and organize paperwork
• Communicate effectively with technicians, production staff, customers, and insurance representatives
• Help maintain an organized and professional work environment
• Meet deadlines and keep repairs moving according to schedule
• Assist other team members when needed
• Help identify problems and develop solutions that improve workflow

The ideal candidate will have:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Ability to pass a drug and background check

Automotive Experience

Previous collision or automotive experience is preferred but not required.

Experience in any of the following is a plus:

• 1+ year of auto body estimating experience
• 1+ year of body shop experience
• Auto glass experience
• Automotive insurance claims experience
• Customer service experience
• Collision repair experience
• Experience working with repair estimates or supplements
