Business Development Intern — NYC Based | Commission Only

We are a payment-processing company helping businesses simplify payments, reduce processing costs, and access solutions designed to support their growth. We have served thousands of merchants and provide our team with hands-on experience in B2B sales, business development, marketing, and client relationship management.

We are currently looking for motivated NYC-based Business Development Interns who want to gain real-world experience working directly with local businesses while developing valuable sales and entrepreneurial skills.

💰 Compensation — Commission Only

This is a 100% COMMISSION-ONLY internship. There is no hourly wage or base salary.

Earn $200 commission for every successfully closed account.

There is no cap on commissions, allowing interns to earn based on their individual sales performance.

Responsibilities

• Identify and prospect potential business clients throughout NYC.
• Connect with business owners and key decision-makers.
• Introduce prospective clients to our payment-processing, POS, and business solutions.
• Build and maintain relationships with new and existing merchants.
• Conduct market research and identify new business opportunities.
• Assist with lead generation, outreach, and follow-ups.
• Participate in client meetings, presentations, and field sales activities.
• Understand client needs and recommend appropriate business solutions.
• Maintain and update prospect information in lead sheets and CRM systems.
• Collaborate with the sales team on business-development strategies.
• Learn the full B2B sales cycle from prospecting through closing and onboarding.

Qualifications

• Must be NYC-based and available for in-person/field activities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Confident and professional when communicating with business owners.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Organized and comfortable managing leads and follow-ups.
• Familiarity with spreadsheets, databases, and basic office applications.
• Interest in business development, B2B sales, marketing, entrepreneurship, or account management.
• Previous sales experience is a plus but not required.
