Internship dates: January, 5th to April, 23rd 2027 (opportunity to extend to 8 month internship).

Location: The position is based at our Mississauga location; internship from Monday to Friday, with flexible hours and exclusively on-site.

Why join our team? 

The Project Engineering organization at Pratt & Whitney Canada oversees the strategic and technical direction of engines throughout their entire lifecycle—spanning from initial proposals and product launch to development, production, and ongoing field support. In this role, the candidate’s primary focus will be on activities related to product development, production, and field support.

What will your day-to-day look like?

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project, operations, manufacturing, design engineering, and supply chain.

  • Support field investigations by collecting and analyzing data to assist the Project Engineering lead in determining root cause and implementing effective corrective actions.

  • Provide technical support to production to maintain production flow, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to address technical issues affecting production flow.

  • Perform key project management tasks, including schedule and budget management, milestone tracking, stakeholder coordination while preparing/supporting the creation of reporting materials for communication with the senior leadership team.


What do you need to be successful? 

  • Be eligible to work in Canada.

  • Be enrolled at a Canadian university for the entire duration of your internship.

  • Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired.

  • Be able to adapt to a fast-paced and continuously changing environment

  • Be able to manage multiple tasks/priorities at the same time

  • Be able to work independently, and in some cases with little direction, but know when to seek help/guidance

  • Be able to work well with others

  • Is a strong communicator, organized and results oriented

  • Pursuing a degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering


Although this position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a working knowledge of English to read and understand specialized instructions, plans, drawings and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and sometimes communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.

The salary range for this role is 23.70 to 34.50 CAD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
