Job Summary
We are seeking a Quality Engineer Tester with 5-7 years of experience in Manual and Automation Testing to join the Software Engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring software quality through comprehensive test planning, execution, defect management, and automation development. This role requires strong expertise in Selenium, Appium, Postman, and JIRA to deliver high-quality applications in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform functional, integration, system, and regression testing for web and mobile applications.
- Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using Selenium and Appium.
- Execute manual test cases and identify defects, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
- Perform API testing and validation using Postman.
- Own the end-to-end defect lifecycle management using JIRA, including defect logging, tracking, retesting, and closure.
- Build and maintain reusable automated test suites to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand requirements and ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and provide detailed defect reports.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5-7 years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience in Manual Testing (Functional, Integration, System, and Regression Testing).
- Strong hands-on experience in Automation Testing using Selenium and Appium.
- Experience in API Testing using Postman.
- Strong experience using JIRA for defect management and Agile project tracking.
- Proven experience in creating and maintaining test cases, test scripts, and automation frameworks.
- Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
