SALARY BANDING
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a Sales & Distribution Manager to lead and manage our retail execution, broker relationships, and distribution across the U.S. This role will focus on ensuring flawless market execution and driving the performance of key partners, including brokers, distributors, and merchandisers. You will be responsible for managing multiple tasks efficiently, from overseeing new product launches to ensuring successful execution at the retail level. This position requires a high level of organization, a passion for retail engagement, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
This role is remote but requires residence in the Western United States, near a major airport.
WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
As the Sales & Distribution Manager, you will oversee the execution of key sales initiatives at the retail, distributor and field level. This includes ensuring market execution by managing void fills, overseeing planogram execution, and driving education and engagement at retail locations. You will be the key point of contact for brokers, merchandisers and distributors responsible for setting and tracking quarterly and annual goals, providing ongoing education, and following up to ensure progress toward these objectives.
You will oversee distributor operations by managing inventory, tracking purchase orders, and implementing effective programming at the distributor level. Ensuring that distributors are aligned with our goals through education and collaboration. You’ll also manage the merchandising teams and broker teams, setting their goals, guiding their initiatives, and providing ongoing training to ensure high-quality execution across all projects.
As part of your role, you will lead new product launch planning and execution. This involves coordinating setup, educating key partners, and ensuring a smooth rollout to retail. You’ll also manage the post-commitment execution of new retail launches, ensuring that all involved stakeholders are aligned and that launches go off without a hitch.
Finally, you will serve as the communication hub between the field/market and internal teams. You will update the organization regularly on the progress of broker, merchandiser, and distributor initiatives, and provide transparent reports on what is and isn’t working. You will work closely with our head of National Accounts as well as our Sales Operations Analyst. Your ability to juggle multiple projects and ensure strong execution across a variety of tasks will be essential to your success in this role.
Here's how you'll likely go about that:
- Maintain regular communication with brokers, distributors, and merchandisers to align on goals and objectives.
- Monitor inventory levels and work with distributors and ops to manage PO’s, ensuring seamless supply chain to sales execution.
- Analyze retail voids, out-of-stocks, and other retail-level challenges, working with store management and external teams to resolve issues quickly.
- Educate and engage teams through regular training sessions, providing updates on new products, and gathering feedback on execution performance.
- Partner closely with internal sales, OPS and marketing teams to ensure alignment on promotional, market and brand strategies.
- Build in 40% of your time traveling for events, tradeshows, and account visits. Conduct regular in-person visits to retail locations to ensure planogram execution and build relationships with retail staff.
ABOUT YOUR TEAM
Although the entire team is remote we are a very close knit bunch. We might be a small team but we truly believe in our product and know how to speak the language of coffee. We like to build lasting relationships within our team as well as with our customers.
ABOUT YOU
We hire humans, not machines, and our team is made up of people who will bring the energy, are eager to learn, and embrace every day being different.
We’re big on collaboration, and we want everyone on the team to take pride in their work. You’ll thrive here if you adapt easily to change, face challenges head-on, and love to jump right in and figure it out as you go along. Whether you’re WFH, or at an event, you will support your teammates and you’re comfortable asking for support when you need it yourself.
Approach every day like it’s day one, stay open-minded, and (as always) have fun with it.
Key Skills:
- Deep understanding of retail execution strategies and the ability to drive results in diverse markets.
- Proven ability to manage brokers and distributors to meet sales goals.
