ROLE SUMMARY

The VP Finance, US Specialty Care and Global Platforms will play a critical role in enabling strategic and financial decision-making for the U.S. Specialty Care business. This leader will serve as the senior finance partner to the President, U.S. Specialty Care and the Specialty Care commercial leadership team, supporting a complex portfolio that includes Inflammation & Immunology and Rare Disease, while also overseeing Finance support for U.S. Global Platforms. This role will help ensure disciplined P&L management, strong financial controls, compliant Global Platforms processes, and clear insight into the investments and trade-offs that shape business performance.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as the senior finance partner to the President, U.S. Specialty Care and the Specialty Care commercial leadership team, providing financial insight and enterprise perspective to support brand, portfolio, and business unit decisions
- Lead financial stewardship of the U.S. Specialty Care P&L across a complex, multi-billion-dollar portfolio, including revenue, gross-to-net, gross margin, and operating expense forecasting
- Lead annual operating plan, long-range plan, and monthly and quarterly forecasting processes, ensuring assumptions are transparent, analytically sound, and aligned with enterprise planning expectations
- Oversee Finance support for Global Platforms and the US Specialty Care portfolio
- Partner with commercial, market access, and finance leaders to evaluate investment opportunities, including HCP and patient promotion, access strategy, contracting, rebates, launches, indication expansions, and lifecycle initiatives
- Develop and communicate clear financial narratives, business cases, and scenario analyses that help leaders understand performance, risks, opportunities, and trade-offs
- Deliver executive-level financial reporting, variance analysis, gross-to-net bridges, and senior leadership materials that provide visibility into Specialty Care performance and inform decision-making
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of FP&A, brand finance, and Global Platforms finance colleagues supporting the Specialty Care business
- Maintain strong financial controls and ensure adherence to SOX requirements, accounting standards, Pfizer policy, and applicable Global Platforms regulations
- Represent Specialty Care Finance in cross-business unit governance forums, portfolio reviews, and U.S. Commercial leadership discussions
In this highly visible leadership role, you will bring financial expertise, enterprise perspective, and sound judgment to support decisions that advance Specialty Care strategy and performance. You will help shape investment priorities, strengthen forecasting and planning processes, and provide clear financial insight to senior leaders across U.S. Commercial, Finance, Market Access, and related enterprise functions.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field with 15+ years of relevant experience; or master’s degree, such as an MBA or MS, with 13+ years of relevant experience
- Significant, progressive finance experience within the pharmaceutical, biopharma, or life sciences industry, including commercial, brand, portfolio, or business unit finance experience
- Demonstrated experience managing financial performance for a complex, multi-brand, or large-scale commercial portfolio
- Proven ability to build and present clear financial narratives, business cases, and recommendations for senior executive stakeholders
- Experience leading, coaching, and developing finance teams in a complex, matrixed organization
- Strong financial modeling and analytical capability across gross-to-net, rebates, market access, forecasting, and Global Platforms-related topics
- Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA and/or CPA
- Experience supporting Inflammation & Immunology, Rare Disease, or another specialty care therapeutic area
- Experience supporting product launches, biosimilar competition, loss-of-exclusivity planning, or lifecycle management
- Direct experience overseeing or partnering closely with a U.S. Global Platforms team or function
- Strong executive presence, with experience influencing senior commercial leaders, Business Unit Presidents, or Board-level stakeholders
