Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Ensures high-quality, error-free incident processing within the Risk Management Information System (RMIS). Receives, reviews, and enters incident data daily; creates and distributes reports; and provides accurate, professional, and timely responses to internal and external stakeholders regarding incident status and related inquiries.
2. Identifies, tracks, and maintains complex process data related to risk, safety, environmental, and reliability concerns, and recommends corrective actions as appropriate. Maintains current knowledge of organizational policies, procedures, and applicable regulations governing departmental operations, and processes all documentation in accordance with established standards.
3. Supports incident data analysis by preparing reports, identifying trends, and monitoring incident rates. Compiles and organizes data for executive-level presentations, reports, and other business materials.
4. Tracks and manages financial expenditures, including the collection, reimbursement, and reconciliation of third-party invoices. Maintains ongoing communication with service providers regarding invoicing for services rendered on behalf of YRC Safety. Compiles and analyzes data related to third-party services, including costs, invoicing trends, and forecasting needs.
5. Supports YRC Safety-related projects by developing and updating materials, job aids, training resources, schedules, and presentations.
6. Provides administrative support to YRC Safety management by coordinating project schedules, meetings, and training activities. Assists with the planning, organization, and facilitation of team meetings and training sessions.
7. Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Risk Management, Business, Finance, or closely related field is required.
Minimum two (2) years of directly related experience in the field of environmental, health and safety or related industry required.
Related, relevant, and/or direct experience may be considered in lieu of minimum educational requirements indicated above.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA)
Must possess intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as internet research methodologies.
Experience utilizing a Risk Management Information System (RMIS) preferred.
Demonstrated organizational and time management skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to clearly and effectively present information through written reports and presentations.
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting deadlines.
Demonstrated maturity and professionalism, with the ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion in sensitive situations.
Ability to appropriately handle sensitive and confidential information.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and conduct work in compliance with all applicable legal, regulatory, and organizational requirements.
Ability to interpret and apply a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS AND REGISTRATIONS
At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
Possession of an Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 30-Hour Certification is required, or the ability to obtain the certification within one (1) year of hire
No Driving Responsibilities: Role does not require a driver’s license or insurance.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ WORKING CONDITIONS – ENVIRONMENT

Primary work environment is in a climate-controlled office setting.
Work requires travel to attend meetings, trade shows, and conferences.
Incumbents may be required to work evening, weekend and holiday shifts.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
Strength sufficient to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects and/or move up to 40 pounds occasionally.
Sedentary work: involves sitting most of the time. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
Physical activities that apply to the essential functions of the position are balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
Hearing sufficient to hear conversational levels in person, via videoconference and over the telephone.
Speech sufficient to make oneself heard and understood in person, in front of groups, in meetings, via videoconference and over the telephone.
Visual acuity that meets the requirements of the position: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading and visual inspection of employees, visitors or facility.
Mobility sufficient to safely move in an office environment, walk, stoop, bend and kneel, and enter, exit and operate a motor vehicle in the course of travel to promotional events, meetings, conferences, trade shows and San Manuel properties.
Endurance sufficient to sit, walk and stand for extended periods, and maintain efficiency throughout the entire work shift and during extended work hours.
The employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles including secondhand smoke.
