About the role

We are currently looking for a Senior Environmental Expert who will Provide specialist support in environmental assessment, data collection, field investigation, and preparation of Environmental Impact Assessment reports for proposed project components identified during the study. The position is responsible for carrying out environmental surveys, collecting required samples and baseline data, assessing environmental impacts, and preparing EIA reports in accordance with the requirements of the Department of Environment, Government of Bangladesh, World Bank requirements, and project-specific standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsibility for carrying out environmental data and sample collection, environmental surveys, and investigations of the proposed components as identified during the study.

• Plan and conduct environmental surveys, site investigations, and baseline data collection for the proposed project components.

• Collect environmental samples and relevant field data related to air, water, soil, noise, ecology, land use, and other environmental parameters as required.

• Coordinate with field teams, laboratories, local stakeholders, and technical experts to ensure reliable data collection, testing, and documentation.

About You:

• Graduation in civil/Environmental Engineering/ Environmental Management/Equivalent Degree

• 15 years total professional experience, preferably 08 years’ experience in railway field.

• Preferably 5 years’ experience in similar position for similar type consultancy.

• Working experience in international donor agency funded project would be preferable.
