Job Description

As a Security Officer Gated Community in Laguna Niguel, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a residential community, you will monitor entry points, verify resident and visitor access, and help maintain an orderly environment. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor vehicle and pedestrian access points, verify authorized entry, and maintain required visitor, contractor, and/or delivery records.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with residents, guests, management, and emergency responders while documenting observations and incidents in accordance with site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
