A dynamic and experienced P2P-PO Lifecycle Operations (POLO) Senior Manager, Service Leader will lead a team of P2P-POLO associates operating our procurement-to-pay lifecycle (and related) processes. The ideal candidate will have a background in business process ownership, procurement and/or finance, and team leadership, with a keen focus on enhancing customer satisfaction and a positive experience. This role will involve development of regional/local POLO service delivery processes and leading the POLO team, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, and driving excellence in stakeholder management and relationship-building throughout our procure-to-pay lifecycle and related processes. The Leader of the POLO Team will foster a culture of continuous improvement to develop, improve and optimize processes, while also consistently encouraging across the team the maintenance of high-quality standards in customer service.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee the team operating the end-to-end P2P cycle, including procurement, invoice processing, strong stakeholder management, and reporting (plus other operational, ancillary P2P activities). Lead and motivate the POLO team to achieve operational excellence and high-quality service delivery via an end-to-end standardized approach.
- Lead Stakeholder Engagement: build ongoing trust and relationships with key stakeholders at multiple levels of the organization. Ability to zoom in and zoom out, based upon the needs of the specific stakeholders and their businesses, balancing KPI and metric reporting with qualitative service focus and a customer satisfaction mindset.
- Develop, enhance and implement POLO processes, policies and procedures, in accordance with J&J policy and guidance, to ensure efficiency and compliance. Ensure documentation is in place (and maintained) consistent with execution of processes and in support of the POLO operation expansion.
Other Duties:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new POLO processes that support customer needs; improve Procure-to-Pay strategies and operations..
- Analyze and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess team performance and process efficiencies, and actively address gaps and any mitigations required.
- Lead/support development and implementation of automation and AI (Artificial Intelligence) initiatives.
- Direct, train, supervise and evaluate direct reports to enhance their performance, development, accountability and to grow their skills and knowledge in P2P processes.
- Empower direct reports to act with speed, agility, accountability – enabling them to achieve their goals with the highest degree of customer service.
- Ensure management of escalations, resolving discrepancies as necessary.
- Coordinate with internal audit and compliance teams as required.
Required Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Required Years of Related Experience:
6 years proven leadership experience, preferably in Procure-to-Pay, Finance, or Customer Service processes
