Community Action is looking for Weatherization Coordinator to join our Weatherization team to reduce energy consumption and improve the safety of homes through initial inspections. This individual is responsible for overseeing daily operations of Energy Auditors of the Weatherization Program. Closely work with Program Administrator to ensure production goals are being met. Reduce energy consumption and improve the safety of homes by gathering empirical data, conducting tests, and determining appropriate improvements under the guidelines established by the Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy (NDEE). Verify completed weatherization work meets specifications and work standards and determines any corrective actions needed to ensure the safety, comfort, and energy savings of the building occupants.
Starting Pay: $28.18/hour
The Role:
Coordinate daily work for the weatherization team to help meet program goals and deadlines.
Supervise, train, and support Weatherization Initial Inspectors and other program staff.
Review home inspections, energy audits, work orders, bids, and related paperwork for accuracy and timely completion.
Answer contractor questions and coordinate with contractors to keep projects moving.
Conduct final quality control inspections to confirm that completed work meets program standards.
Document needed corrections, follow up with contractors, and maintain complete client files.
Monitor the quality of field work and communicate with the Program Administrator and state technical advisors about program requirements.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required.
3-5 years experience with and knowledge of the building trade preferred.
Must have (1) Lead Safe RRP, (2) OSHA -30, and (3) BPI Energy Auditor certifications.
Valid Nebraska Driver’s License and good driving record required.
- Knowledge of Weatherization procedures, guidelines, products, regulations and terminology.
- Knowledge of general electrical, plumbing, structural and repair standards.
- Knowledge of Building and Safety Codes and Regulations.
Ability to read, write, and communicate English effectively.
