Overview
STOCK CLERK (USATC-2026-25601):
Bowhead is seeking a Supply Technician to join our team at Fort Jackson, SC, in conducting supply duties at the Clothing Initial Issue Point (CIIP). Typical duties will include standard segments of supply management operations, and a successful candidate must have a good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, supply regulations, policies, work methods, or other established guidelines in place at the LRC. The position requires accuracy, attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to support a fast-paced, mission-driven operation. The candidate must be available to work 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., based on operational and mission requirements. Applicants must be available to work the assigned schedule and must be able to support occasional weekend missions when required. Work schedules may be determined by mission workload and operational requirements. Applicants should carefully consider their availability before applying, as reliable attendance and the ability to support the required work schedule are essential functions of this position.
Responsibilities
Essential functions will include:
- Prepares and processes administrative and supply-related documents.
- Supports individual clothing and equipment issue operations.
- Reviews and posts discrepancies involving clothing and individual issue records.
- Ensures transactions and documentation are completed accurately and in accordance with established procedures.
- Schedules unit size appointments for issues, exchanges, and other required services.
- Participates in and conducts inventories, verification of stock, identification of discrepancies, and reconciliation of inventory records.
- Defines issues, researching data to correct errors, and taking or recommending action to correct and prevent further issues based on application and interpretation of established guidelines.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor in support of CIIP operations and mission requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- A High School diploma or equivalent is required in addition to at least two (2+) years of Supply Technician experience
- Must have a good working knowledge of Army regulations, systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines.
- Previous experience in supply, logistics, inventory management, or property accountability.
- Ability to accurately prepare, review, and maintain supply and administrative documentation.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records in a high-volume environment.
- Ability to organize workload, prioritize assignments, and meet established deadlines.
- Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and maintain professional working relationships with customers and coworkers.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for prolonged amounts of time
- Must be able to twist, bend, and squat periodically
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain a clearance at the Pubic Trust level. US Citizenship is required for a Public Trust clearance at this location. Due to the location of this work, US Citizenship is required.
