About the Role

McKesson is looking for a Patient Care Coordinator to support infusion and injection treatments across our INVIVA clinics. In this role, you will coordinate patient referrals, appointments, nursing availability, and pharmacy deliveries to help ensure patients receive timely and well-organized care.

As a key connection between patients, healthcare professionals, pharmacies, and internal teams, you will provide clear communication and accurate scheduling throughout the patient journey. This opportunity is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable managing a high volume of requests, and passionate about delivering an excellent patient experience.

This is a 12-month contract, full-time hybrid position based in Mississauga, Ontario.

What You’ll Do

• Process patient referrals and schedule infusion and injection appointments within established service-level agreements.
• Coordinate nurse availability, clinic capacity, and pharmacy medication deliveries.
• Contact patients to confirm appointments and provide clear preparation instructions.
• Send welcome communications and keep patients informed throughout their care journey.
• Manage inbound and outbound telephone calls and emails within established performance standards.
• Maintain complete and accurate patient information in scheduling and documentation systems.
• Coordinate appointment changes and follow up on cancellations or missed appointments.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacy teams, clinics, and program coordinators.
• Help confirm that clinics have the required resources and supplies for scheduled treatments.
• Provide coverage and scheduling support across INVIVA clinics based on operational needs.

Basic Requirements

• Post-secondary diploma or degree, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Minimum of two years of experience providing customer service or administrative support in a call centre, healthcare, clinic, or similarly high-volume environment.
• Experience managing telephone calls, emails, appointment scheduling, and electronic documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer-based scheduling or customer management systems.
• Fluency in English.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience coordinating patient, client, or healthcare services.
• Experience working in a medical office, specialty pharmacy, infusion clinic, patient support program, or healthcare call centre.
• Knowledge of patient referrals, appointment scheduling, or medication delivery coordination.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple requests while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
• Clear, professional, and empathetic communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and comfort working with performance metrics, service-level agreements, and key performance indicators.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with patients and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
