Bilingual Pharmacist in Charge

(Candidate Must Be Fluent in both English and Spanish to be Considered for this Position)
 

Work Hours-Monday-Friday - normally between 8:30AM-5:00PM

Description

Primary Role: Preparing and dispensing appropriate pharmaceuticals to patients, leading a team of pharmacy technicians and managing the overall day-to day pharmacy responsibilities.  the The job entails a high level of responsibility and knowledge.


Essential Job Functions: 

  • Review and execute provider’s prescriptions checking their appropriateness and legality 
  • Organize the pharmacy in an efficient manner to make the identification of products easier and faster 
  • Maintain full control over medication inventory, stocking and labeling medicine and other products and monitor their condition to prevent expiring or deterioration 
  • Listen carefully to customers to interpret their needs and issues and offer information and advice. 
  • Prepare medicine when appropriate using correct dosages and material for each individual patient 
  • Maintain patient profiles and history of all activities regarding medications dispensed 
  • Keep abreast and stay current with HIPAA and Frauds Waste and Abuse credentialing 
  • Comply with all applicable legal rules, regulations, and procedures 
  • Responsible for ensuring that the Pharmacy and its employees are compliant with Federal, State and Local laws regulated 
  • Ensures that the Pharmacy and its employees are aware and compliant with local facilities policies 
  • Responsible for directing the daily work of Pharmacy Technicians, this includes providing input into performance evaluations and advising Senior Management of any behavioral and/or performance issues.
  • Responsible for managing the Pharmacy Technicians schedules. This includes advising Senior Management of any request for leave of absences or medical accommodations.
  • Other duties as necessary

Requirements

Required Education & Skills:

  • Current License to practice (PharmD) in Florida
  • Excellent oral, written skills
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish

Experience:

  • Previous leadership role helpful
  • Must be able to utilize Patient Management System in the Pharmacy
  • Min 3-5 years retail pharmacy manager experience

Physical Requirements: 

  • Standing for prolong periods of time
  • Use of hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls
  • Fine Motor Skills
Skills and Certifications:
min. 3-5 years retail pharmacy management exp.
Great leadership, communication and management skills
Fluent in both English & Spanish
