Description

The Heart Center at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is recruiting a congenital cardiologist for diagnostic and interventional catheterization.  The Children’s Heart Center is the largest pediatric cardiac center in the Southeast, performing over 1200 catheterizations and over 800 cardiac surgeries annually.  The physician would be a member of the Emory University School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics at the Assistant or Associate Professor level and would be employed directly by Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Cardiology.  Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Cardiology is a wholly owned subsidiary of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

Interested candidates should have experience and expertise with all types of diagnostic and catheter-based cardiovascular interventions.  The ideal candidate should have between 2-7 years of experience in interventional cardiology, though candidates of other levels of experience will be considered. This is a full-time position; night, weekend, and holiday call will be as assigned by physician schedule.  Clinical responsibility will be primarily service time in the cardiac catheterization lab and contributing to the procedural call burden.  The physician is expected to deliver the highest quality cardiology services to patients, their families, and associated partners.  The large pediatric cardiology training program requires excellent teaching and mentoring skills. Participation in local/national conferences to promote further education and the production of scholarly work is expected.

Interested candidates should be Board Certified (or eligible) in Pediatric Cardiology and will be required to remain Board Certified throughout their employment. Rank and salary will be based on experience.

NOTE: Position tasks are required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location; working remote is not an option. Emory reserves the right to change this status with notice to employee.
