Club Performance & League Growth partners with Clubs to achieve their full organizational potential, elevate the standard of club excellence, and increase long-term enterprise value. The group serves as an in-house advisory and strategic resource, working in partnership with Club leadership and League Office departments across ticketing, sponsorship, marketing, media, content, business intelligence, fan development, operations, expansion, market analysis, ownership transitions, and strategic growth initiatives.
The Senior Manager, Club Performance & League Growth will support high-impact Club advisory work, League Growth initiatives, strategic analysis, senior-level materials, and cross-functional projects that improve commercial performance, organizational effectiveness, and enterprise value across MLS. This individual will operate as a versatile strategic generalist with strong analytical capabilities, excellent communication skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to move seamlessly among strategy, project management, analysis, presentation development, and execution.
Responsibilities
- Support Club Performance initiatives through in-depth analysis, project management, and stakeholder-ready deliverables.
- Support League Growth workstreams, including club transactions, strategic investments, expansion, ownership transitions, and market analysis.
- Develop high-quality presentations, memos, and dashboards for senior League and Club stakeholders.
- Support Club advisory work across ticketing, sponsorship, marketing, fan growth, business intelligence, operations, and commercial performance.
- Support Club engagement, including meeting preparation, follow-up tracking, and action plans.
- Conduct research, document best practices, maintain benchmarking and League minimum standards, and identify opportunities and strategic recommendations to Clubs.
- Coordinate cross-functional work with League Office departments and Clubs to advance strategic initiatives and drive implementation.
- Identify AI and emerging technology use cases to improve analysis, productivity, decision-making, knowledge sharing, and Club support.
- Monitor industry trends, market developments, and innovation across sports, entertainment, media, technology, and adjacent industries.
- Lead select Club Performance programs, including the annual MLS Executive and Team Awards.
- Assist with special projects and other responsibilities as required
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 7+ years of relevant experience in sports, consulting, investment banking, finance, corporate strategy, business development, business operations, media, entertainment, technology, or another analytical and strategic environment.
- Experience supporting strategic initiatives, business planning, market analysis, commercial analysis, or cross-functional project execution.
- Experience developing polished presentations, memos, briefings, and analysis for senior leaders or external stakeholders.
- Experience using data, research, and market insights to develop recommendations and support decision-making.

- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage timelines, track follow-ups, coordinate stakeholders, and drive workstreams forward.
- Curious, proactive, and resourceful mindset, with demonstrated interest in AI, emerging technologies, and practical business applications.
- Strong executive presence and professionalism, with the ability to interact effectively and diplomatically with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Knowledge of, or strong interest in, domestic and international soccer, the North American sports landscape, and key Club business areas including ticketing, sponsorship, marketing, media, business intelligence, fan engagement, and revenue growth.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to travel and work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
- Fluency or proficiency in Spanish and/or French preferred.
