Position Summary:
Performs sales transactions for Ski and Ride School lessons, tickets and rentals. Includes cashiering, efficient organization of rental forms, knowledge of rental equipment and lesson programs, accurate and efficient data entry.
Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities:
- Process sales and order fulfillment through our Point of Sale computer system, including processing discounts, coupons and other product specials.
- Sell daily Ski and Ride School lessons, lift ticket products as well as season long products, including seasonal rental equipment and School Group lessons.
- Assists guests in selecting the best product or package to fit their needs. Helps guest fill out appropriate paperwork and enter this information accurately in our point of sale database.
- Works closely with the Ski and Ride School to schedule private lessons and attach lesson to requested instructors properly. Will be using 2-way radios for communication.
- Answer phone and return calls on our Ski and Ride School phone line.
- Balance cash and card transactions within the daily till and point of sale.
- Handle both positive and negative guest interactions with grace and composure. Maintaining a helpful and empathetic demeanor.
- Strong knowledge of Schweitzer and all product offerings including village activities and special events.
Specific Job Skills:
License/Certifications- None
Technical- Computer skills required with previous point of sale system experience, cash handling, 10-key typing.
Physical Capabilities- Should be able to stand/walk for full 8 hour shift
Additional- Strong public relations and guest service background and ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment. Ski and Snowboard experience helpful to be able to assign correct ability levels to guests.
Education/Related Experience:
Minimum education required- English reading, writing and verbal communication plus basic math required.
Minimum time in related position- Previous guest service experience preferred.
