Description
AMB Sports & Entertainment connects fans to unforgettable moments across the Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta United, and a wide range of live events at our venues. Behind the scenes, our technology and data teams enable everything from personalized fan engagement to smarter ticketing and revenue strategy to smoother game-day operations. We invest in modern, secure, and governed technology foundations so leaders and teams can make fast, confident decisions.
Role
As a Cloud Software Engineer, you will design, build, automate, and support cloud-based infrastructure and software platforms. You will own key parts of the delivery lifecycle, from provisioning cloud resources and developing infrastructure as code through deployment, monitoring, and ongoing optimization. You will partner with software, data, security, and business teams to deliver reliable, reusable solutions that accelerate product delivery and reduce manual operational effort. Success in this role looks like secure cloud environments, repeatable deployments, resilient services, and continuous improvement through automation.
Responsibilities
- Provision, configure, and manage cloud resources across Microsoft Azure environments, including compute, storage, networking, databases, identity, and platform services
- Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code solutions using Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, or similar technologies
- Create reusable modules, deployment patterns, and automation frameworks for development, test, and production environments
- Develop cloud-native applications, APIs, scripts, and automation services using Python, C#, PowerShell, JavaScript, or similar languages
- Build and deploy serverless and event-driven solutions using Azure Functions and related cloud services
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms for application and infrastructure deployments
- Support containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes, including Azure Kubernetes Service where appropriate
- Implement cloud security best practices for identity and access management, secrets, encryption, network controls, and policy-driven governance
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, or comparable tools
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, deployment, and application issues across non-production and production environments
- Monitor cloud consumption and recommend opportunities to improve performance, reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency
- Collaborate with software engineers, data engineers, architects, cybersecurity teams, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, documentation, and the development of engineering standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- Hands-on experience provisioning and supporting resources in Microsoft Azure or another major cloud platform
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, or equivalent technologies
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming or scripting language such as Python, C#, PowerShell, or JavaScript
- Working knowledge of cloud networking, identity and access management, security controls, and scalable architecture patterns
- Experience with Git-based development workflows, branching strategies, pull requests, and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting for cloud infrastructure and applications
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues across applications, infrastructure, networking, and deployment pipelines
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration platforms such as Azure Kubernetes Service
- Experience with Databricks, modern data platforms, analytics workloads, or AI/ML infrastructure
- Familiarity with event-driven architecture, messaging platforms, and serverless application patterns
- Experience with cloud governance, policy-as-code, secrets management, and enterprise security standards
- Knowledge of cloud cost management and FinOps practices
- Experience with infrastructure monitoring and observability platforms such as Datadog
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale production environments and participating in incident response
Example Daily Duties
- Provision cloud resources and environments through approved infrastructure-as-code pipelines
- Develop or enhance reusable Terraform or Bicep modules and automation scripts
- Configure networking, identity, access controls, secrets, and security policies for cloud workloads
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application releases
- Monitor cloud services, investigate alerts, and resolve deployment or operational issues
- Partner with development and data teams on infrastructure requirements and platform enhancements
- Review pull requests, update technical documentation, and participate in solution design sessions
- Analyze cloud utilization and implement improvements to reliability, performance, and cost
