We are seeking a Sales Compensation Professional to support the administration and accuracy of our sales compensation programs. This role is critical in ensuring timely and accurate commission payments while providing exceptional support to our sales organization.Position Overview
The Sales Compensation Professional 1 performs the ongoing administration, calculation, validation, and payment of sales commissions. This individual will work closely with sales associates, leadership, payroll, finance, and system vendors to ensure compensation plans are administered accurately and efficiently.
The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, analytical, customer-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer sales compensation programs, including commission calculations, validations, and payouts.
- Review and reconcile compensation data to ensure accuracy and compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Respond to inquiries from sales associates regarding commission payments, calculations, and compensation plan details.
- Investigate and resolve compensation discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
- Prepare monthly reports and statements, including compensation summaries, payroll support documentation, balance sheets, and profit and loss reporting.
- Partner with payroll, finance, and sales leadership to ensure accurate compensation processing.
- Coordinate with software vendors and internal technology teams to maintain compensation system functionality and data integrity.
- Assist with audits, reporting requests, and compliance-related activities.
- Maintain documentation of compensation processes, procedures, and controls.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased operational efficiency.
- Support special projects and additional compensation-related initiatives as assigned.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience performing administrative, technical, operations, or business support functions.
- 1+ years of experience in sales compensation, accounting, finance, payroll, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced working knowledge of Excel.
- Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive compensation information.
- Passion for contributing to an organization focused on improving consumer experiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Experience supporting commission-based compensation programs.
- Familiarity with compensation administration systems and reporting tools.
- Experience analyzing data and preparing financial or operational reports.
- Knowledge of payroll processes and compensation controls.
Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.
