Description

Larson Automotive Group | Tacoma/Fife, WA
Full-Time | $24.00–$30.00 per hour

Are you the kind of person who notices when a number doesn't match, follows a task all the way through instead of letting it sit, and genuinely enjoys keeping things organized?

Larson Automotive Group is looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Automotive Contract Cancellation Specialist to support our dealership operations.

This position plays an important role in making sure cancellations for vehicle service contracts, GAP coverage, warranties, and other aftermarket products are processed accurately, timely, and completely.

You'll work with our dealerships, customers, lenders, and product administrators to track cancellation requests from start to finish and make sure refunds, and accounting records are handled correctly.

If you have dealership accounting or contracts experience, we would love to hear from you. If you have strong accounting or administrative experience outside of automotive and are exceptionally organized and willing to learn, we encourage you to apply as well.

What You'll Do

  • Process customer, lender, and dealership requests for cancellation of GAP, vehicle service contracts, warranties, and other aftermarket products
  • Review cancellation documentation for completeness and accuracy
  • Submit cancellation requests to the appropriate vendors, administrators, and lenders
  • Track outstanding cancellations from submission through completion
  • Follow up on aging or delayed cancellations and resolve outstanding issues
  • Calculate and verify prorated cancellation refunds
  • Process and coordinate refunds to customers and lienholders as applicable
  • Accurately post cancellation and refund transactions within dealership systems
  • Maintain and reconcile cancellation schedules and related accounting records
  • Complete monthly cancellation reconciliation worksheets
  • Research discrepancies and work with dealerships, lenders, and vendors to resolve them
  • Maintain complete documentation of cancellation requests, correspondence, calculations, approvals, and      refunds
  • Help ensure cancellations are processed within required timelines
  • Protect confidential customer, financial, and dealership information
  • Follow dealership, lender, product administrator, OEM, and applicable legal requirements
  • Assist the accounting team with related projects and responsibilities as needed

You'll Be Successful in This Role If You Are

  • Extremely detail-oriented
  • Organized and able to manage a high volume of transactions
  • Comfortable performing repetitive work where accuracy matters
  • Good at following an item from beginning to end
  • Comfortable researching discrepancies instead of simply passing them along
  • Able to prioritize aging items and meet deadlines
  • Comfortable communicating professionally with customers, lenders, vendors, managers, and coworkers
  • Able to handle confidential financial and customer information appropriately
  • Dependable and consistent
  • Comfortable learning new systems and processes

Compensation

$24.00–$30.00 per hour

The anticipated pay range for this position is $24.00 to $30.00 per hour. Actual starting pay will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, dealership accounting or cancellation experience, technical knowledge, skills, and qualifications.

This is an hourly, nonexempt position and is eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable law.
