Operations Manager – Transportation

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead day-to-day operations within a fixed-route passenger transportation environment. This role will oversee operational teams, service performance, safety, employee relations, and customer service while ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee daily transportation operations and supervisory teams.
• Ensure safe, reliable, courteous, and on-time passenger service.
• Monitor operational performance, including on-time performance, service delivery, revenue hours, and mileage.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations.
• Manage employee and labor relations, including union relationships and compliance with collective bargaining agreements.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Safety, and other departments to support operational excellence.
• Monitor costs, budgets, and operational performance to support financial objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement, employee engagement, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of management experience in a fixed-route transportation system with more than 100 vehicles.
• Experience with P&L responsibility, safety management, emergency planning, and operational performance.
• Experience working with unions and contract negotiations.
