POSITION SUMMARY
The Stubbs Lab at The Buck Institute is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, articulate, and motivated Clinical Research Associate/Coordinator II to join our clinical research team. This position supports the day-to-day logistics and communications required to successfully conduct clinical studies, performs elements of study visits at the Buck and community locations, and assists with processing biospecimens and study data.
Candidates should have 2-5 years of experience in clinical research or a similar role and be comfortable managing assigned study activities with limited supervision.
The successful candidate will join a team led by Co-Directors Dr. Newman, MD, PhD, a practicing geriatrician, and Dr. Brianna Stubbs, PhD, who has more than 10 years of clinical research experience. The broader team includes experienced Clinical Project Managers, Clinical Scientists, Study Nurses with more than 30 years of clinical practice experience, and other clinical research staff.
Our clinical team is small and highly collaborative. Candidates should expect hands-on experience across the full lifecycle of clinical study execution. We work together to ensure study activities are completed accurately and on time.
The CRA II is expected to work with greater independence than the CRA I, manage assigned study activities with limited supervision, troubleshoot routine problems, proactively identify process improvements, provide guidance and training to junior research staff, and appropriately escalate issues when needed.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Education & Experience
Our success will ultimately change healthcare. At the Buck, we aim to end the threat of age-related diseases for this and future generations by bringing together the most capable and passionate scientists from a broad range of disciplines to identify and impede the ways in which we age.
We are an independent, non-profit institution located in Marin County, CA, focused on increasing human healthspan, or the healthy years of life. Globally recognized as the pioneer and leader in efforts to target aging, the number one risk factor for diseases including Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, cancer, macular degeneration, heart disease, and diabetes, the Buck seeks to help people live better longer.
Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa currently. We are an equal opportunity employer and strive to create an atmosphere where diversity of identity, experience, and background is welcomed, valued, and supported. Candidates who contribute to this diversity are strongly encouraged to apply.
